Hair Care
It is very important that you takes the steps to care for these high quality hair extensions for longer use. I am about to sound very strict and demanding with these steps but I want the extensions to last you as long as possible. I love you all and I promise I'm not mean lol <3.
*Shampoo and Condition Hair BI-WEEKLY!
*When Washing Hair Always Wash In LUKE WARM OR COLD WATER. Washing Hair With Hot Water Will Dry It Out Overtime!
*Apply Hair Mask ONCE A MONTH; I Would Suggest The Nexxus Ultimate Moiusture One
*Do Not Use Cheap Shampoo and Conditioner (EX. PATENE, L'OREAL, TRESSEME, SUAVE, DOVE, AUSSIE, OGX etc; These Shampoo and Conditioners Have ALCOHOL, PARABEN, SULFATE, AND ARE CHEMICAL BASED. THEY SAY ITS NOT BUT BABY THEY LYING!!! It Will DRY And STRIP The Hair Overtime.
*Please Purchase SALON APPROVED/PROFESSIONAL Hair Products. Shampoo & Conditioner Recommendations: REDKEN, NEXXUS, OLAPLEX, ETC
My Hair Reccomedation is The Nexxus Ultimate Moisture Shampoo and Conditoner/Nexxus Ultimate Moisture Hair Mask; Their Brand And That Specific Shampoo/Conditioner Type Was Rated BEST For Hair Extensions!
*It's $30-$35 For The Shampoo & Conditioner Set But Worth It. The Hair Mask Is About $7-$10
*Never Use Natural Hair Products; ONLY Use It For Our TEXTURED HAIR (WATER WAVE, DEEP WAVE, CURLY, ETC.)
* When Using For Our TEXTURED HAIR Make Sure It's High Quality Natural Haircare Products (CAMILLE ROSE, MIELLE ORGANICS, MISS JESSIE, ETC.)
*Do NOT Use CANTU, SHEA MOISTURE, ETC. ON OUR TEXTURED HAIR FILLED WITH HORRIBLE CHEMICALS.
* DO NOT USE ANY OIL OR SERUMS IN YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS IT WILL MAKE THE HAIR VERY STRINGY AND IT WILL MAKE THEM STIFF. NO, YOU DO NOT NEED BIO SILK.
DO NOT you use silicone mix shampoo, or the protein hair treatment conditioner that is for when you are trying to replenish the hair after wearing it for a long long long amount of time. Only time silicone mix is necessary is when you want to wear the hair one more time for an install, but the hair is way past it's lifespan. Using silicone mix on hair that does not really need it will cause it to OVERPROCESSED due to the extensive amount of protein in the product, that's why you only need it when you're trying to bring the hair back from the dead!
*Brush Hair Before Washing, When BRUSHING Hair Please Start At The BOTTOM And Work Your Way UP To The Weft. Brush Hair GENTLE! DO NOT Brush The Hair HARD This Can DAMAGE The WEFTS Or The THREADS And That Will Lead To SHEDDING
*MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR IS FULLY DRENCH BEFORE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONING! YES PUT YOUR HEAD UNDER THE SHOWER HEAD IF NEEDED LIKE YOUR IN A MOVIE
*Shampoo Hair Throughly INSIDE and TOP of Wefts; Make Sure To Shampoo In SECTIONS! Our Bundles Are Very THICK And Without Doing SECTIONS Hair WILL NOT Be WASHED THROUGHLY! Shampoo The Hair TWICE. Make Sure You Have A NICE LATHER.
*MAKE SURE YOU ARE APPLYING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONING ALL OVERT THE DOME OF YOUR HEAD WHERE THE WEFTS ARE SEWIN AT.
* NEVER Detangle Hair With A COMB While Applying Shampoo. Shampoo Is Meant To CLEANSE Hair Which Means Shampoo Naturally Dries Out Your Hair, So Trying To Detangling While Shampooing Will Cause Hair To Shed And Be A Waste Of Time. That Is Why You Go In With The Conditioner To Add The Moisture Back AND IT MAKES IT SMOOTHER FOR YOU TO DETANGLE!
*Add Conditioner In SECTIONS, Massage It In And DETANGLE With YOUR HANDS First And Then DETANGLE With A WIDE-TOOTH COMB.
*After Rinsing Conditioner, Apply More And Let Sit For About 7 Mins
*MAKE SURE TO RINSE ALL THE CONDITIONER OUT! IF YOU DO NOT YOUR HAIR WILL FEEL OVER-PROCCESSED DUE TO THE MOISTURING COMPONENTS BEING LEFT IN THE HAIR. THIS WILL LEAD TO HAIR FEELING CHALKY, TANGLED, BRITTLE AND ETC THIS WILL CAUSE EXCESSIVE SHEDDING BECAUSE THE HAIR WILL JUST BREAK OFF. IT'LL HAVE A NICE SHINE AND LUST BUT THE FEELING AND QUALITY OF THE HAIR WILL NOT.
*However, If It Does Happen You Need To Go In With A Salon Approved/Professional Hair Treatment Mask That Will Bring Your Hair Back!
*Allow Bundles To AIR DRY!
*Use Must Allow YOUR BRAIDS Under Your EXTENSIONS To FULLY DRY Before Applying HEAT When Using Extensions For Sew In.
*You Must Wear A SATIN or SILK Bonnet Before Bed (I Would Use The EXTRA LONG/BRAID BONNET For Longer Extensions) Also You Need A SATIN Or SILK SCARF For The Top Of Your Extensions So It Can Remain Flat
*I ADVISE If You Are Installing A Sew-in Only Wear The Style For MAXIMUM 2 MONTHS, Overtime It Will Be Harder To Thoroughly Shampoo and Condition The Hair and Get The dirt, Natural oils, Hair Products etc Out The Bundles Due To Them Being Very Thick And The Longevity Of You Wearing Them. Also, The Braids And Your Scalp Under The Hair Extensions Produce Natural Oils Which Overtime Gets On The Top Of The Weft Which Can Cause Tangling Throughout The Whole Hair. This Causes The Hair To Become Stringy and Puffy As Well, After 2/3 Days You'll Wonder Why After Washing Why Isn't Silky And Flows Anymore? The Hair Needs To Be Taken Out And Needs A Deep Wash and Conditioning!
*When TAKING OUT YOUR Sew In Extensions Make Sure To BRUSH and REWRAP The Hair To Form A Bundle. Also Make Sure To Clean Them After Taking Them Out. Use A Clarifying Shampoo, Nexxus Ultimate Moisture Conditioner and Follow Up W/ A Hair Masque. I DO NOT ADVISE Leaving The Dirt, Oil, Etc. On the Bundle Until Your Next Use. That Can Take Away The Lifespan Of The Hair.
